Welcome to UnapologeticallyHER!

Hello all!  Welcome to UnapologeticallyHER!

This is a new blog that I am starting and it has been a looooooooooooooooooooong time coming. GOD had placed on my heart to do this blog a couple of years ago. Unfortunately due to fear and laziness I never did it, yeah I know Boooo Zainabu! But guess what I am here now,I am so excited but scared as well to be honest but I am ready to start this journey by taking this leap. The purpose of this blog is to share my story and to be a source of encouragement and inspiration for women all over. This blog means a lot to me so expect , transparency , inspiration , encouragementfun and truth. I am also super excited to see all that GOD will do! So here we go!

What does it mean to be UnapologeticallyHER?

Many times instead of embracing who GOD has made us and called us to be, flaws and all we apologize. We apologize and instead try to fit in the box society, people and our past have created for us. It’s time for us to be who GOD has created us to be and to do it unapologetically with no shame or regret. As women we can be unapologetically who GOD has called us to be by living in obedience and not conforming to the way of this world.

What if as GOD’s daughters we are the ones setting the pace and being a light in this dark world.I believe that there is a way to understand who we are, our true authentic selves, no masks, flaws and all but still walk in obedience to GOD and HIS word, striving to be more like HIS son everyday. By doing that we can truly become the women who GOD has called us to be and cause a ripple effect of change throughout this world starting where we are! At the end of the day what and who do we have to have to fear when the Creator of this universe is our FATHER!

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

On May 5, 2016 it will make 10 years of me making JESUS LORD, boy have I experienced some great highs and some lows. I have not arrived but I have learned so much and I am still learning which I cannot wait to share with you all.

Are you ready to go along with me on this journey of living with purpose and on purpose unapologetically?

This is so inspiring, Zainabu! I look forward to following this blog. I’m one among the many women who feels that she can’t be herself. Because I’m so different from those who are close to me, including my family in Christ, my biological family and coworkers/friends and I’ve come to accept that there are so aspects of myself that I don’t share with others. I’ve even come to embrace the name “weird” that many people good intentioned people have called me. For many many years, I believed I needed normal or credible people to give me value, through friendships and relationships. I’m attempting to abandon that now. I’m also at a place in my life where I’m beginning to accept that my flaws and quirks are not accidental, but rather intentional. I have the dream of meeting and becoming the woman God intended me when He knit me together in my moms womb. Please pray for my journey!

Wow Rachel thank you for sharing and your openess! I definitely can relate and understand. I have realized and experienced the downfalls of wanting and waiting for validation from others in order for me to “be” and wore so many masks which I will be sharing in depth in an upcoming Blog post. I also will be praying for you Rachel for you to become that women GOD has created you be, it’s in there. There will become so free and at peace. It’s a journey take things one day at a time.

      Romans 8:28
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

@Rachel @Zainab.. We all have that one thing that we feel like we don’t share with anyone. I was the weird one growing up. Or so I felt. It’s refreshing to hear and see other women’s stories and know that we are not alone.

Proud of you Zainabu, such an inspiration. God purposely designed us in our own unique way. I just always care about what others think of me, but know I brush it off. They way I think is totally different from other people, sometimes I don’t share everything about myself, especially when it’s certain things I dream of doing because I get negative feedback instead of encouragement, from family/ disciples. So I just keep things to myself. I know God is continue molding me to the person He wants to be. To people I’m not perfect but to God I’m the apple of His eye. Can’t wait.😊😊😊

    1. Zainabu says:

Thank you so much Sabrina I totally appreciate it. Yes HE did design all of us in our own unique way. We all have things in our journey that will call us higher and call us to fight through but the journey is beautiful nonetheless because it will produce the “Sabrina” GOD intended. 🙂
